He completed his urology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI and subsequent fellowship in urologic oncology at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, OK.

Egert

Dr. Egert grew up in Schererville, IN and attended Andrean High School. She then went on to Indiana University Bloomington to complete her degree in biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology. She continued her education as a Hoosier and received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, where she also completed her urology residency. She returned to Northwest Indiana to join Urologic Specialists of Northwest Indiana.

Dr. Egert’s areas of interest and expertise include minimally invasive procedures for BPH, surgical treatment and prevention of kidney stones, in-office vasectomy, as well as other common urologic issues such as incontinence and overactive bladder.

In her free time, Dr. Egert enjoys traveling, watching football, spending time with her family and trying new restaurants.

Julie Lopez was born and raised in Chicago. She attended CCN and obtained graduate degrees in Executive Leadership and Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been practicing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse since 2022 and has 21 years of diverse Nursing experience in the Emergency Department, Interventional Radiology and Leadership roles. She has been affiliated with academic institutions such as Advocate Health, UI Health and UChicago. She joined USNWI in 2025 where she provides care in inpatient and outpatient settings. She takes pride in team collaboration, patient education and being a patient advocate. Amelia “Molly” Teas DNP, APRN is an Urology Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of nursing experience. She has practiced as a Nurse Practitioner for the past 8 years, following 12 years as a Registered Nurse. She earned her Doctorate from the University of Utah and brings a diverse clinical background that includes trauma, acute care surgery, and urology.

She began her nursing career as an EMT and ER nurse and went on to serve as a critical care and flight nurse, experiences that shaped her strong clinical judgment and patient-centered approach. In her current role, she provides comprehensive urologic care, seeing patients in clinic and rounding at multiple hospitals. She is deeply engaged in informed, shared decision-making, partnering with patients in all aspects of evaluating and treating urologic conditions to ensure care aligns with their goals and values.
